XXX. on the new Terminator film

this is strictly am opinion piece. I think it’s great that they’re making a new Terminator film. I love the franchise and Terminators 1 & 2 will never disappear, so let the series go wherever they want to take it. I’ve actually enough trust in people as a whole that they might actually make a good film. but I don’t know—I’m fairly sure the new Terminator is going to be absolutely fucking arse. for a start, I’m not that keen on MY Sarah Connor being so small! also she needs round black glasses and wiry muscles, & we definitely need a scene of her doing sweaty pull ups, & being strong and angry as all hell. / but eh, I thought Prometheus would be utter arse as well, & that turned out to be a great film. it was different to Alien, & messed around with quite a lot of the mystery, but I watched Alien recently and didn’t think of Prometheus at all, then I watched a Prometheus last night and loved it again. / but yeah, Terminator. I think the main problem I have is that Linda Hamilton is just pure sex.

XXIX. on the Final Fantasy VII remake announcement

I actually cried while watching the trailer. even if they change as much as I expect they will change, I am boundlessly happy. I have played and completed Final Fantasy VII almost every year since I got it at 7 years old.
